The popular Saturday morning Vinyasa Yoga Classes with Liz Richards will continue throughout 2016.  They will run every week unless otherwise advised in the previous Newsletter. On weekends when Teacher Training or Workshops are taking place the class may not run or may move to the smaller studio. Please check the Newsletter or Facebook page and text to book a space. The numbers in these classes have increased hugely and so now it has become essential to pre-book. Please be advised that on occasion the class may be taught by Louise Curran.

YOGA CLASSES FOR CHARITIES CONTINUE IN 2016

In October 2015 I decided to run the Saturday morning classes in aid of the Syrian Appeal.   All drop in proceeds from four Saturday classes and some very generous donations from our students and friends of The Ananta Yoga Studios made it possible for us to make a donation of €3500 before Christmas to Human Appeal who are working tirelessly on the ground in Syria to help alleviate the suffering of the displaced people there.  Inspired by the success of this fund raising effort and the collective support and enthusiasm from all the generous students who attend the Saturday classes, we ran another three classes in December in aid of Focus Ireland and raised another €500.

It is my hope that we can continue to support these two charities in particular but also some more local ones too in 2016.  Therefore the last regular Saturday morning class scheduled each month will be in aid of a charity for the whole of 2016 and towards the end of the year in December, every Saturday class will be a charity one.  We begin this campaign on Saturday 30th January and the first class will be in aid of The Wicklow Hospice Foundation.  We may decide to stick with a charity for more than one month to really see if we can make a decent donation.  I would also welcome any requests from students who would like to see a charity which is close to their heart receive the benefits of the proceeds from one or more of these classes.

Lets see if we can make a difference in 2016 together.

Many thanks

Liz Richards
