At The Ananta Yoga Studio, The Tap, Kilbride, Co. Wicklow you will find a busy class schedule with yoga classes in the mornings and evenings so you can make time to de-stress and unwind in our beautiful studios.   Never tried yoga before?  Come along and try out our Introduction to Yoga for Beginners Classes on Tuesday nights 8pm-9.30pm.  These popular Beginners Yoga classes in Wicklow with Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor Liz Richards have been running for almost three years now and our warm and welcoming, candle lit studios make it an attractive destination for many students on those colder, darker evenings! 

This Yoga for Beginners course is a gently paced, well planned course of 6 -8  consecutive Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes which starts at the very beginning using a step by step approach which makes the practice accessible to everyone regardless of age or fitness levels.   Students learn how to align, strengthen and tone the body  while stabilizing the platforms of the feet and ankles, hips and pelvis and shoulder girdle.  The body learns to open gradually to build the foundations for a safe and mindful practice which leaves you feeling centred, calm and stress free.

Correct use of the breath is introduced and an intelligently sequenced class of classical yoga postures is taught using modifications and variations when necessary. Students are encouraged to relax and work at their own pace in a fun and non-competitive environment.

Suitable for those with little or no yoga experience, who are recovering from illness or injury (consult your GP first), post-natal Mums (must have had 6 week check following normal delivery or 12 weeks check following Caesarean Section) – also suitable for practitioners who simply prefer a more gently paced class.

These Wicklow yoga classes are suitable for and very popular with both men and women and we are delighted to have noticed a significant increase in the number of men attending our yoga classes.  Yoga classes at The Ananta Yoga Studio are always open to and beneficial for both men and women – each finding their strengths and weaknesses in different forms.
