CHAIR YOGA FUNDRAISER FOR THE WICKLOW HOSPICE FOUNDATION WITH LOUISE CURRAN

The class will be followed by some light Christmas refreshments and a raffle for a prize of 4 Chair Yoga Classes with Louise!

Chair Yoga classes continue to be very popular at The Ananta Yoga Studios in Wickow Town. Each week we have full classes of enthusiastic students who benefit in many ways from this ancient practice using chairs for a little support when standing or lying down is difficult or not accessible.
Our class on Friday 9th December, will be in aid of The Wicklow
Hospice Foundation – a wonderful charity that so many of us have turned to or may need – unfortunately to turn to for support in the future.
If you would like to join our Fundraiser class, you will have the opportunity to explore and receive the benefits of Chair Yoga – (including – improved strength and flexibility, breathing, mental clarity, overall balance and calm to name a few) whilst providing much needed funds for the hospice with your contribution on the day.

In the meantime, there are three Chair Yoga classes on the Fridays before the 9th December if you would like to join in beforehand as well.
Chair Yoga is suitable for those who may find our regular yoga classes too strenuous – those who may be completely new
to yoga, recovering from injury or illness or generally less active and mobile. It is also – of course suitable for all yoga students who simply would like to try this method of practice. The class takes students through centring and breath-work, followed by postures that let the joints move through their range of movement whilst seated or through use of the chair whilst standing. These postures will provide gentle stretching, improved strength and flexibility, as well as helping students to find balance and calm in everyday life.
