Following the successful launch of kids and teens yoga at Ananta Yoga Studio in 2015, we are thrilled to be adding additional and new classes to the schedule, with classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays,Fridays and Saturdays.

Children live in a ‘hurry up’ world of busy parents / school pressures / incessant lessons / competitive sports. These can be stressful influences on our kid’s lives but yoga can be an amazing medium to counter these constant stresses. When children learn techniques for self health, relaxation and inner fulfilment they are better equipped to handle life’s challenges.

Through creative play, breathing exercise, yoga postures and relaxation, kids and teens explore the physical, mental and emotional benefits of yoga in a fun-filled learning environment. Children can receive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances flexibility, strength, coordination and body awareness. In addition, their concentration, sense of calmness and relaxation improve. In yoga, children exercise, play, connect more deeply with their inner self and develop an intimate
relationship with the natural world that surrounds them.

Our new Senior Teens Yoga class is for those students who would like to use their free Wednesday afternoons to practice Yoga. This class will follow an adult yoga class format and is tailored to the needs of students facing the pressures of deadlines and exams. These challenging times can be met with focus and calm when applying the tools of yoga.
